Hours after Supreme Court’s order, Delhi BJP said on Friday that while the saffron camp respects the decision, getting interim bail does not mean Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is free of guilt.
The party said that sometimes even criminals are released on parole, and this is a legal process, so it does not prove that Arvind Kejriwal, “who was the main culprit in the multi-million-rupees liquor scam, is innocent”, said BJP leaders.
The saffron party leaders said that truth may have been delayed but it’s not defeated because the truth is that only Arvind Kejriwal is responsible for the liquor scam in Delhi, pushing youths into addiction, and bringing in a new liquor policy to fill his pockets.
“The way Aam Aadmi Party leaders are trying to portray that Arvind Kejriwal has been acquitted, they are once again misleading the people of Delhi and betraying them,” said Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva.
The Delhi BJP President said that the people of Delhi understand that whether it is a liquor scam or other scandals in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal is the mastermind behind all of them.

He said that the Aam Aadmi Party has no local issues for the elections because as a state government, they have done nothing in the last 10 years, so they created a stir in the name of Kejriwal being jailed and are now trying to create a deceptive atmosphere after he walked out of jail, “which the people of Delhi will not buy, and BJP candidates will win on all seven seats in the upcoming elections”.
Sachdeva said that while granting interim bail, the Supreme Court has clearly cautioned that during the interim bail, Kejriwal will neither go to the CM office nor the Delhi Secretariat. “It means that the Supreme Court has also accepted that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is not acquitted, he has only been granted interim bail for election purposes,” he said.
