Arshdeep Dalla Arrested: In a recent development, Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill, also known as Arshdeep Dalla, was arrested by Canadian authorities after being wounded in a gunfight. Dalla, linked to the proscribed Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, was injured during an encounter with unidentified assailants on October 28. The incident eventually led to his arrest when police found illegal firearms in his possession.
Gunfight and Discovery of Firearms
On the night of October 28, Arshdeep Dalla and associate Gurjant Singh were reportedly attacked by unknown shooters. Following the incident, Dalla sought medical attention at Guelph Hospital, which drew the attention of law enforcement. Police discovered bullet damage on the Dodge Durango SUV driven by Dalla and located bullet casings on the passenger seat, indicating an exchange of gunfire.
Dalla claimed that an unidentified vehicle was pursuing him, causing one of the bullets to fire within his vehicle. The police investigation, however, led to a thorough search of Dalla’s home the following day.
Arrest and Firearms Seized
During the search, police uncovered a Taurus 9mm handgun with a loaded magazine in a backpack, alongside a rifle, a shotgun, and two high-capacity magazines capable of holding 15 and 35 rounds. Dalla and Singh were subsequently charged with discharging a firearm with intent, possession of prohibited firearms, and tampering with gun serial numbers.

Dalla’s Terror-Linked Activities and Arrest Warrant
Arshdeep Dalla, 28, has been on the radar of Indian security agencies for alleged involvement in terror-related activities, extortion, and murder cases, with charges filed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). A Lookout Circular has also been issued by the Punjab Police.
Dalla has been linked to multiple violent incidents in India, including the murder of Punjab-based electrician Paramjeet Singh, for which he took responsibility via a Facebook post. He is also accused of orchestrating the killing of Manohar Lal, a Dera Sacha Sauda follower, in 2020 and conspiring to target another follower, Shakti Singh.
Social Media Recruitment and Radicalization
Authorities report that Dalla uses social media to recruit and incite young men to participate in Khalistani-linked criminal activities. This recent arrest may mark a critical point in efforts to curb his influence and prevent further escalation of Khalistani-linked violence in both India and Canada.
