On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid his respects at the Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, extending warm greetings to devotees. He also participated in the Shiv Baraat, an extravagant procession symbolizing Lord Shiva’s divine journey, which witnessed a unique confluence of humans and animals in a grand celebration of faith.
Addressing the Shiv Baraat Mahotsav at KNN Stadium, the Chief Minister remarked that such a massive congregation of devotees signifies an unparalleled divine force, emphasizing that the world thrives on this spiritual energy. As per traditions, he flagged off the Shiv Baraat amidst Vedic chants and breathtaking tableaux, making the event even more captivating.

CM Soren highlighted that Maha Shivratri is a festival of devotion, joy, enthusiasm, and unwavering faith. He emphasized that this sacred festival has been observed for centuries and will continue to be celebrated with the same reverence. He also noted that every year, Deoghar adds a new chapter to this grand celebration, making the festival even more spectacular with collective efforts.

The Chief Minister reiterated that Deoghar is a center of immense spiritual and religious significance. Every year, during the Shravani Mela, millions of devotees from across India and beyond visit Baba Baidyanath Dham for darshan.
