A video, shared by Sudhakar Udumula on the social media platform X, captures the shirtless man floating in the pond as a policeman attempts to pull him out. Unexpectedly, the man wakes up, eliciting chuckles and laughter from the police and onlookers.
In the video, Udumula explained, “Residents of Reddypuram Kovelakunta in Hanumakonda were taken aback today after discovering what they initially believed to be a dead body floating in the local pond. The man, later identified as a quarry worker from Kavali in Nellore District, was found lying motionless in the water from 7 am to 12 pm.”

To everyone’s surprise, the man suddenly regained consciousness. He revealed that he was not deceased but heavily intoxicated. He explained to the police that he had been working in a granite quarry for the past ten days, enduring 12-hour shifts. Exhausted from his grueling schedule, he decided to cool off in the pond, only to fall asleep in the water.
The video, shared on June 10, quickly went viral, amassing over 50,000 views and prompting numerous humorous reactions. One viewer commented, “Watching this for the 5th time and laughing like hell.
