Renowned filmmaker Anees Bazmee has expressed hope that actor Akshay Kumar might return to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise in the future. Currently preparing for the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan leading the cast, Bazmee shared in a recent interview with Pinkvilla his desire to see Akshay Kumar rejoin the series if a strong enough script is written.
Bazmee mentioned that both he and Kartik have immense respect and admiration for Akshay, and it would be exciting to have the two actors together in the same frame. Reflecting on Akshay’s previous involvement in the first film, he said, “It would be wonderful to have Akshay back. Kartik is a big fan of Akshay ji, and he is a complete actor in all genres—comedy, action, or emotion. Kartik and I are also very good friends, and it would be a dream to see them share the screen.”
Bazmee emphasized that for Akshay Kumar to return, the script would need to be compelling, saying, “If Akshay ji is to come back, the story must be so well-written that he feels there’s something special about it.”

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s Diwali Release
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, scheduled to release on November 2, 2024, promises to be a major Bollywood hit. Alongside Kartik Aaryan, the film boasts a stellar cast including Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Sanjai Mishra, and Ashwini Kalsekar.
