Ranlia, Bollywood’s new power couple, got married after dating for five long years. The duo’s wedding was an intimate ceremony in attendance of their close family and friends.
New Delhi: Alia Bhatt, who finally tied the knot on April 14 with Ranbir Kapoor at the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor’s residence Vastu in Bandra, has already started working on her next project.
Talking about the work front, Alia reportedly told the media that she has resumed work post wedding and has flown to Jaisalmer to shoot for Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh. Besides, she is also gearing up for the release of Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy drama Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor. Apart from Ranbir and Alia, the movie will also feature Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni in key roles. To note, it will mark Alia’s first collaboration with Ranbir.

Some time back, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress’ BFF Tanya Saha Gupta, who was present at the duo’s wedding, shared a series of beautiful pictures from the nuptials and it’s all about fun and laughter. In one of the photos, Ranbir made a sweet gesture to his dulhaniya’s bridesmaids as he signed a special pledge to them. It reads, “I, Ranbir, husband of Alia. I pledge to all the bridesmaids.”
Ranlia’s wedding started with a dreamy mehendi function on April 13, which was followed by a fairytale wedding on April 14 and then a star-studded wedding reception on April 15. Ranbir and Alia fell in love on the sets of Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra, which will release on September 9 this year. This will mark their first movie together.
The Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya actress looked resplendent in her Sabyasachi cream-coloured lehenga with heavy golden embroidery. For their wedding, Alia and Ranbir twinned in beautiful Sabyasachi outfits. Alia Bhatt ditched the mainstream lehenga and wore a hand-dyed ivory lehenga. She was beaming with happiness as her bridal glow left everyone in awe.
