New Delhi: A boundary wall in Noida’s Sector 21 collapsed on Tuesday killing at least four labourers. The wall collapsed near the Jalvayu Vihar Society on Tuesday morning, the police said. According to reports, both firefighters and police have been pressed into action.
Talking to the media, District Magistrate Suhas L Y said, “We were told that the wall collapsed when some labourers were pulling out bricks for the repair work of a drainage system. We will investigate the incident.”
He added, “The rescue operation in underway and we are trying to ascertain the details of the injured persons. We are also conducting a search in the area as a precautionary measure. All the teams are present at the spot.”
