West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee experienced yet another incident of falling and sustaining minor injuries while boarding a helicopter in Durgapur on Saturday.
The incident occurred as she was attempting to board the waiting helicopter after walking up the mobile stairs placed in front of it.
According to reports, Mamata Banerjee lost her balance while about to take her seat inside the helicopter. Fortunately, she suffered only minor injuries and was promptly assisted by her security personnel. Despite the mishap, the Chief Minister continued with her scheduled trip to Asansol.
This incident is not the first time Mamata Banerjee has encountered such mishaps. In May of a previous year, she was hospitalised after a fall near her home in Kolkata, resulting in a deep cut on her forehead.

Subsequently, she was admitted to the state-run SSKM hospital for treatment. Additionally, in June of the same year, Banerjee suffered a leg injury when her helicopter was compelled to make an emergency landing near Siliguri due to adverse weather conditions, resulting in ligament injuries to her left knee and left hip joint.
Despite these challenges, Mamata Banerjee has maintained her commitment to her political engagements. Following the recent incident in Durgapur, she proceeded to fly to Kulti and addressed a rally in support of TMC’s candidate Shatrughan Sinha for the Asansol constituency.
