Tony Todd, celebrated for his commanding presence and iconic deep voice, left an indelible mark on horror cinema. Born in Washington, DC, in 1954, Todd’s career in acting began at the Eugene O’Neill National Actors Theatre Institute and the Trinity Rep Conservatory. He earned widespread acclaim for his role as Sergeant Warren in Platoon and rose to international fame as the haunting Candyman in the 1992 horror hit.

In addition to his iconic role in Candyman, Todd was widely appreciated for his performances in the Final Destination series, The Man from Earth, and Night of the Living Dead. He also appeared on the small screen in popular shows throughout the 1980s and 90s, including 21 Jump Street, Night Court, MacGyver, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
