With an estimated wealth of Rs 7,300 crore, the 58-year-old actor has established a thriving business empire that extends far beyond his film career.
Shah Rukh Khan’s wealth has been significantly bolstered by his production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, and his stake in the Kolkata Knight Riders, who triumphed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. These ventures have been pivotal in propelling Shah Rukh Khan to the top ranks of India’s richest individuals.
In addition to his financial success, Shah Rukh Khan has also solidified his dominance on social media. With an impressive 44.1 million followers on X, he tops the list of billionaires and celebrities, reinforcing his status as the “King” in both the virtual and real worlds.
Joining Khan from Bollywood on the Hurun Rich List are actress-businesswoman Juhi Chawla and actor Hrithik Roshan. Chawla, who co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders with Khan, boasts a wealth of Rs 4,600 crore. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan, who owns the athleisure brand HRX, has accumulated a wealth of Rs 2,000 crore.

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and his family also feature prominently on the list, with their wealth estimated at Rs 1,600 crore in 2024. Their fortune has primarily grown through strategic investments. Rounding out the top five Bollywood celebrities is director-producer Karan Johar, whose successful production house, Dharma Productions, has helped him amass a wealth of Rs 1,400 crore.
The 2024 Hurun India Rich List, which now includes 1,539 individuals with a net worth of over Rs 1,000 crore, marks a significant increase from last year, with 220 new entries. The manufacturing sector has been a major driver of this growth, contributing to the rising fortunes of Indian entrepreneurs.

Gautam Adani and his family have retained their position as the richest in India, with a staggering net worth of Rs 11.6 trillion. According to the founder of Hurun India, this surge in wealth underscores the “unstoppable spirit” of Indian entrepreneurs, as new faces continue to join the ranks of the country’s richest across various industries.
