Timeline of the Fatal Confrontation Outside Ahmedabad’s Seventh-Day Adventist School
The assault occurred just after the school day ended at Seventh-Day Adventist Higher Secondary School in Ahmedabad’s Khokhra area. As Nayan Santani exited the building, he was confronted by the class 8 accused and a group of other boys.
What started as a verbal dispute quickly escalated into violence. The accused pulled out a knife, stabbed Nayan, and escaped toward the rear of the school premises.
CCTV footage captured the injured Nayan re-entering the school, clutching his stomach to stem the bleeding. He was rushed to a private hospital in Maninagar but succumbed to his wounds.
Meanwhile, a security guard noticed the fleeing accused and alerted school officials and police, leading to his swift detention.
A First Information Report has been filed, and the minor is being held under the Juvenile Justice Act. The incident has left the community reeling, prompting calls for enhanced safety protocols in schools across Gujarat.
