Ahmedabad witnessed massive unrest after a Class 10 student, identified as Nayan, was stabbed to death by a Class 9 student at a private school. The incident triggered widespread anger among parents, Hindu organisations, and community members.
Nayan, a 15-year-old student belonging to the Sindhi community, was critically injured in the stabbing and rushed to a hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. Following the news of his death, a large number of Sindhi community members gathered outside the school early in the morning.
The accused student, a Class 9 pupil belonging to the Muslim community, has been taken into custody. Police have confirmed that action is being taken under juvenile laws.
Protests, Vandalism and Heavy Police Deployment
The incident led to massive protests by parents, Hindu organisations, and activists from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Demonstrators vandalised school property and reportedly assaulted staff members, leading to clashes with police deployed at the scene.

Authorities have registered complaints from parents and Hindu groups against the school principal and management, with demands for accountability. Police confirmed that further investigation into the case is underway.
