Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday praised the Indian Army and the country’s indigenous military strength, highlighting Operation Sindoor as a bold symbol of India’s growing defence capabilities and resolve against terrorism. Speaking at a high-voltage rally in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the Prime Minister said the daring cross-border mission sent shockwaves through Pakistan and proved India’s readiness to strike back at terror.
PM Modi said Operation Sindoor was a message to both enemies and allies across the world that India will no longer tolerate terrorism, and will respond with unmatched force. “We destroyed terrorist hideouts deep inside Pakistan, hundreds of miles in, entering their home,” the Prime Minister told an electrified crowd.

He emphasized that the Indian Armed Forces executed the strike with pinpoint accuracy using indigenous technology, including the BrahMos missile, made under the Make in India initiative. “Our BrahMos missile entered enemy territory and caused destruction exactly where the targets were marked,” he said.
“Pakistan Was Forced to Plead for Peace”
According to the Prime Minister, Pakistan was left so shaken by the operation that it was forced to plead for a ceasefire. “The one who was begging during Operation Sindoor must not forget — it is not over yet,” PM Modi warned, adding that India’s response to terror attacks will be decisive, unexpected, and uncompromising.
In a sharp message aimed at India’s adversaries, he said, “Let no one be under any illusion. India will respond to every terror strike at a time, place, and method of its own choosing.”

Laying out a clear national security doctrine, PM Modi declared that India will respond militarily to every terrorist provocation. He added nuclear threats from adversaries will not deter India’s resolve and reminded that there will be no distinction between terrorist groups and the governments that support them.
“Pakistan’s old excuses about state and non-state actors no longer hold any value,” he said. “India will strike at both — the terrorists and those who protect them.”
“Desi Weapons, Global Message”
PM Modi took pride in India’s self-reliant defence ecosystem, saying Operation Sindoor proved the effectiveness of Indian-made weapons on the global stage. “The world has seen the power of Make in India during this operation. We will continue to strengthen our indigenous capabilities.”
Adding a local flavor, the PM concluded with a powerful quip in the regional dialect: “Agar main seedhe seedha Kanpuriya mein kahun, dushman kahin bhi ho, haunk diya jayega” (In pure Kanpur style — wherever the enemy is, they’ll be hit).
With national elections drawing closer, PM Modi’s fiery speech in Kanpur served as a rallying cry, not just to voters but to India’s adversaries, reinforcing the government’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism.
