Delhi CM was apprised of ongoing works in unauthorised colonies in the city. It was told that works related to piped water, drainage & water connectivity and improvement in roads will be completed by March next year.
New Delhi: Delhi government on Saturday said that it will ensure supply of piped water, sewerage and drainage system in all unauthorised by March 2023. The decision to this effect was made during review meeting works being done in unauthorised colonies on Friday. Meeting was attended by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health & Water Minister Satyendar Jain and PWD officials.
During the meeting, the Delhi CM was apprised of ongoing works in unauthorised colonies in the city. It was told that works related to piped water, drainage & water connectivity and improvement in roads will be completed by March next year. The Chief Minister asked officials to maintain high standard quality of works being done in unauthorised colonies. He also direct to provide all basic facilities to the citizens living in these colonies.
The progress of roads and drains being handled by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department was also taken up. PWD informed that seven roads of length 32.5 km are likely to be completed by August this year as a pilot project, informed Chief Minister’s Office. The tourism department is also working on the beautification of the roads of Delhi.
