Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, expressing deep concern over the Israeli strikes in Doha and calling for resolution of issues through dialogue and diplomacy.
“Spoke with Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani and expressed deep concern at the attacks in Doha. India condemns the violation of the sovereignty of the brotherly State of Qatar,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
He added, “India stands firmly in support of peace and stability in the region, and against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.”
Modi Calls for Peace, Dialogue, and Stability
PM Modi underscored India’s position against terrorism and urged that escalation be avoided. “India condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” he stated.
Israeli strikes in Doha left six people dead in a neighborhood that included foreign embassies and schools. Following the strikes, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “Israel initiated it, Israel conducted it, and Israel takes full responsibility.”

Qatar condemned the attack, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari describing it as a “flagrant violation of all international laws and norms.”
Hamas confirmed that five of its members were killed in the strike, including the son of exiled Gaza chief and top negotiator Khalil al-Hayya.
