Bengaluru: Jogara Doddi village in Bidadi plunged into fear after authorities discovered 25 human skulls and two sacks filled with bones inside a local resident’s farmhouse. Adding to the horror, a chair and cot constructed from these macabre materials heightened the sense of dread among the villagers.
On a recent new moon day, the suspect was spotted performing rituals near a burial ground adjacent to his farm, sparking alarm among the locals who suspected black magic. Prompted by their concerns, Bidadi police conducted a search of his premises, uncovering the unsettling cache of skulls and bones.
According to villagers, the suspect had allegedly been using these items for sinister rituals aimed at them. However, the suspect defended his actions, claiming that such ceremonies on new moon days were a long-standing tradition in his family.
Identified as Balram, aged 30, the suspect is currently being questioned by authorities. Although he maintains that the skulls have been in his possession for generations, investigators are scrutinizing the source of these remains.
Balram admitted to using the skulls for rituals during both new moon and full moon days, insisting that the farmhouse, known as Shri Smashana (burial ground) Kali Peeta, brought him luck.
Forensic experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) have been summoned to examine the skulls and bones, aiming to determine their origins, age, and other pertinent details. Pending the FSL report, authorities will proceed with necessary actions against the suspect.
