The ongoing investigation into the ‘obscene videos’ case involving Janata Dal (Secular) leader Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna has taken a significant turn, with the issuance of a second lookout notice and a visit by a special investigation team to Prajwal Revanna’s home in Karnataka’s Hassan.
State Home Minister Gangadharaiah Parameshwara announced the latest developments, stating that lookout notices have been issued against both HD Revanna and Prajwal Revanna.
The initial notice was issued due to concerns that HD Revanna might attempt to leave the country. However, a second notice was issued on Friday, giving the Revanna family until this evening to respond.
Prajwal Revanna, who is the grandson of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda, faces serious accusations of raping multiple women, following the emergence of explicit videos on social media. The scandal has stirred controversy amid the general election in Karnataka.

In response to the disturbing allegations, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached out to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, urging him to provide comprehensive support to the victims involved in the case.
“I request you to kindly extend all possible support to the victims,” Gandhi expressed in his letter to the Chief Minister. “They deserve our compassion and solidarity as they fight their battle for justice. We have a collective duty to ensure that all parties responsible for these heinous crimes are brought to book.”
Gandhi characterised the incidents as “horrific sexual violence” perpetrated by Prajwal Revanna, alleging that he sexually assaulted and filmed hundreds of women over an extended period.
The gravity of the situation, coupled with the high-profile status of the individuals involved, has sparked widespread public concern and condemnation.
As investigations progress and legal proceedings unfold, the pursuit of justice remains a paramount objective, with calls for accountability and support for the victims resonating across political and social spheres in Karnataka.
