According to an NDTV report, unidentified assailants opened fire at Kap’s Cafe, owned by the comedian.
Shortly after the incident, gangsters Goldy Dhillon and Kuldeep Sidhu, who are said to be linked to Lawrence Bishnoi’s operations, claimed credit for the attack on social media.
Authorities are now investigating the gang connection behind these repeated attacks.
Series of Attacks Since July
This is not the first time Kapil Sharma’s restaurant has been targeted.
The first shooting occurred on July 10, when some staff members were still inside the cafe.
The second attack happened on August 7, when at least 25 shots were fired.
Now, in October, the third shooting underscores escalating gang-related violence in Surrey.
Police Investigation Underway
Canadian authorities are reportedly tightening security measures around the area. Investigators are also working to determine whether the attacks are meant as extortion threats against Indian-owned businesses abroad.
Surrey, which has a large Indian community, has witnessed several gang-linked incidents in recent months.
