Jupiter transit to Cancer 2025 | Guru Gochar 2025: Jupiter, also known as Brihaspati, will transit from Gemini to Cancer on October 18, 2025 (Saturday) at approximately 9:40 PM IST. Jupiter is then predicted to remain in Cancer until November 11, 2025, after which it will move into a retrograde motion and continue to stay in Cancer till December 5, 2025.
In my last article, I had discussed how the Guru Gochar (Jupiter Transit) will affect the zodiacs. Let us now see what happens if Jupiter is negatively placed in your birth chart.
Here are some general traits that are noticed. Please note, this is a general prediction and also depends on the placement of other planets in the chart. For deeper insights, it is always advisable to consult an astrologer.
But Jupiter, being the biggest, creates a greater effect in one’s chart. Also, given below are some important remedies that you can follow to power up Jupiter’s blessings on you. Please make sure to consult an astrologer for a detailed prediction and placement of the planets to understand the effects.
Effects of Jupiter Transit to Cancer 2025
1) Physical Effects
Since Jupiter controls the entire health system of the human body, a negative placement of Jupiter (if placed in the wrong house or nakshatra or has a conjunction with planets that are considered to be a foe to Jupiter), then digestion problems, obesity, enlarged or fatty liver or even diabetes can occur.
2) Temperament & Social Status
Unnecessary arrogance, tussles with Guru (teacher) or seniors at the workplace, and even a daily clash with parents are noticed. This also can create a decline in the social status of an individual. Also, it is noticed that an individual may also have a poor decision-making capacity and lack of confidence.

3) Conjunction with Rahu — Guru Chandal Dosha
This is known as Guru Chandal Dosha, which means the Guru of planets (Jupiter) is linked with Rahu (commonly understood as a shadow planet and the north node of the moon which has mostly negative traits and creates illusion). Although Rahu can fetch humongous results for an individual, if it is in conjunction with Jupiter, it definitely creates a negative effect. This is important for students, no matter whichever stream they are in.
4) Effect on the Mind
Usual causes like a restless mind and lack of knowledge are observed when Jupiter is affected in one’s birth chart. Spiritually, the individual would also lack the mindset of looking inwards if not under a daily habit of meditation.
5) Finance
The individual with a negative Jupiter usually uses up his savings and is unable to proceed with investment for a longer term. Due to lack of knowledge and understanding, individuals will also miss opportunities that come their way. The financial progress tends to be blocked always.

Unnecessary arrogance, tussles with Guru (teacher) or seniors at the workplace, and even a daily clash with parents are noticed during this period. (Theorist creative)
