The bodies of three civilians, including a 14-year-old boy, were recovered in Jammu & Kashmir’s Kathua district on Saturday, three days after they went missing in a terrorist-infested region.
According to police sources, Yogesh Singh, Darshan Singh, and Varun Singh went missing on Wednesday evening while on their way to attend a marriage ceremony in Billawar town.
A massive search operation was launched by security forces, leading to the recovery of their bodies in a water body near Lohai Malhar area.
“Prima facie, the evidence suggests that this entire mass murder was perpetrated by militants,” BJP spokesperson RS Pathania alleged.
Terrorism Suspected Behind Killings
Pathania described the incident as a “cold-blooded murder”, vowing that those responsible would face justice.
“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, terrorism is on its last leg,” he said, asserting that the government would take strict action.

Sources confirmed that the area has witnessed multiple terror attacks over the last two years, with a significant militant presence.
Last month, two civilians were also found dead in the same region, raising concerns about the escalating threat.
Security Forces on High Alert
Following the discovery of the bodies, security forces have intensified operations in the Billawar region to track down the perpetrators.
As J&K continues to battle militancy, the government has reiterated its commitment to eliminating terrorism and ensuring the safety of civilians.
