Kejriwal had shed crocodile tears by dismissing ministers in Delhi and Punjab which was just a tactic to prove himself to be honest, Gupta said.
New Delhi: Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta on Thursday said though Arvind Kejriwal talks of being honest the fact remains instead of dismissing a corrupt minister, he is still retaining him in his cabinet. After all, what is compelling him to not to dismiss a corrupt minister. Satyendar Jain is so close to Kejriwal that he has entrusted former with seven important portfolios, he said while raising question on Kejriwal’s intentions. The fact is Jain could never do justice with his seven portfolios and they are the ones where rampant corruption is going on.
He said it is the same Kejriwal who claims he dismisses ministers on the basis of video itself. Kejriwal had shed crocodile tears by dismissing ministers in Delhi and Punjab which was just a tactic to prove himself to be honest. Now Jain is in the jail and his remand has also been extended but he is so much under pressure that in spite of taking action against him Kejriwal has been encouraging Jain’s family to keep patience and is standing in his defence. Satyendra Jain has himself admitted to all charges of corruption whether it is Rs 16.39 crore, black money, hawala dealings or benami properties, but Kejriwal still refuses to accept that. He said all money coming to Kejriwal through corrupt practices used to be through Satyendra Jain only. Perhaps this is why he is compelled not to dismiss him, he charged.
Gupta said the way Kejriwal is showing his nervousness makes it clear many more layers of corruption of Kejriwal and company are going to come out. The fact is Kejriwal at the moment is most corrupt chief minister of the country. It is an insult to Delhiites to retain a minister in his cabinet without portfolio and not dismiss him and BJP will never tolerate this, he warned. The party therefore demands if even little bit morality is left in Kejriwal he should immediately dismiss Satyendar Jain, he said.
