New Delhi: Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta on Thursday said that the fire at Sunahri Pulah depot in South Delhi has exposed Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government’s mismanagement and bad governance. The fire in the bus depot proves that the Kejriwal government only wants to see Delhi burning. Because this is not the first time that a fire has engulfed the buses as even earlier we have seen how the buses moving on the road full of passengers turned into balls of fire. Last night, another similar incident took place in Jamia Nagar electric motor parking where more than 90 e-rickshaws and other vehicles were gutted.

He said that the fire in Pulah depot is a living example of the failures of the Delhi government’s fire department. Now what can be more shameful than this that the fire department does not have enough arrangements to save its employees who are doing the rescue operation? Today, the victims of Kejriwal’s negligence have been firefighters Suresh and Virendra Singh who got injured during the rescue itself, he added.

Gupta said that innocent people of Delhi are falling prey to the corrupt policies of Kejriwal. The way buses, factories, hotels, shops and slums are catching fire every day, the Kejriwal government is solely responsible. Kejriwal is not doing anything other than mere rhetoric. It seems the sleeping Kejriwal government is waiting for some big accident to happen, he charged. When will Kejriwal wake up from her Kumbhakarni sleep? He said that the corruption of the Fire Department has increased so much that the Kejriwal government has started issuing NOC without any inspection and the result of that is being suffered by Delhiites.

The Delhi BJP chief said that the manner, in which more than 90 e-rickshaws including other vehicles were burnt to ashes in Jamia Nagar electric motor parking on Wednesday, is a proof of negligence and disorder of the electricity department. Even after the burning of the e-rickshaws which was the means of earning of the poor, the Kejriwal government hasn’t bothered at all, he said. No one thought about how these people would run their household. What Kejriwal wants after all, he asked, adding his mismanagement is proving to be a curse for the poor of Delhi because hutments are catching fire daily and the settlements of the poor are getting burnt to ashes.
