Dipika Kakar, known for her roles in hit television shows such as Sasural Simar Ka, opened up about the harrowing journey that began as a routine hospital visit. “Walking into the hospital for pain in the upper area of my stomach… and then finding out it’s a tennis-ball-sized tumour in the liver and then finding out that the tumour is second-stage malignant (cancerous)… it has been one of the most difficult times we have seen and experienced,” she wrote.
The 37-year-old actress has received an outpouring of support from fans, fellow celebrities, and industry colleagues since going public with her diagnosis.
Despite the devastating news, Dipika remains strong and optimistic. In her Instagram caption, she wrote, “Keep Me In Your Prayers,” adding, “I am all positive and determined to face this and walk out stronger InshAllah! With my entire family by my side and all the LOVE and PRAYERS pouring in from all of you, I will sail through this too! IshaAllah.”
