Delhi Congress president Anil Kumar said that AAP promised of 20 lakh jobs in five years in the “Rozgar Budget” to the unemployed youth, though the sad reality was that Kejriwal could not even fulfill his promise of generating eight lakh jobs that he assured in his election manifesto eight years ago.
New Delhi: Delhi Congress on Friday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the “Rozgar Budget” and said that he was selling a ‘false’ and ‘rosy dream’ to the unemployed youth by promising them 20 lakh jobs in five years.
Delhi Congress president Anil Kumar said that AAP promised of 20 lakh jobs in five years in the “Rozgar Budget” to the unemployed youth, though the sad reality was that Kejriwal could not even fulfill his promise of generating eight lakh jobs that he assured in his election manifesto eight years ago.
Kumar said that the budgetary allocation for the employment exchange, whose job is to find employment for the youth, has been slashed which clearly explains the Delhi government misplaced priority and intentions of the “Rozgar Budget”.
“The population growth is increasing in the capital so as the rate of unemployment, and after the Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns this has become a critical issue as many small and medium industries failed to survive this due to no financial support from the AAP government as they were busy in spending crores for personal publicity,” Kumar said.
Kumar said that Kejriwal is perfect in the art of telling lies to innocent people, as he had done in Himachal Pradesh recently, where he claimed that the AAP government in Punjab had banished corruption in ‘20 days’, as AAP had ‘ended’ corruption in Delhi!
“There is no synergy between Kejriwal’s words and the proposals in the Rozgar Budget, as he does not have any idea how 20 lakh jobs would be generated. The Delhi CM was misleading the poor, unemployed youth with high-sounding phrases like “Rozgar Bazaar”, “Dilli Bazaar” and “Shopping Festival”, without realizing that such gimmicks will not bring jobs to the unemployed,” Kumar added.
