They (AAP) keep shedding crocodile tears and politically misleading the drivers over non issues like Pathak did today over fitness charges, said Kapoor.

New Delhi: After the statement of the AAP leader and MCD incharge Durgesh Pathak on increasing CNG rates, Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor alleged that they have always used auto and taxi drivers as political tools but never done anything for their economic welfare.
Criticising the AAP, Kapoor said that they keep shedding crocodile tears and politically misleading the drivers over non issues like Pathak did today over fitness charges.
Kapoor informed that due to international reasons, rates of petroleum products and compressed natural gases (CNG) have gone up which effected the auto and taxi drivers.
“CNG transportation is backbone of Delhi’s transport infrastructure and therefore AAP leaders should ask their Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to extend subsidy on CNG rates to auto taxi drivers or reduce local taxes on CNG rates to ensure smooth running of public transport without effecting the income of drivers or the causing hardship to commuters,” kapoor added.
In the last seven days the CNG rates increased around nine rupees, which directly affected the auto and taxi drivers which made it difficult for them to survive.
The auto and taxi drives on Friday also staged a protest at Jantar Mantar and threatened to go on indefinite strike if their demands to decrease the rates of the CNG or increase the fares are not meet.
