The commercial LPG cylinders will now cost Rs 2,219 instead of Rs 2,354 in Delhi and Rs 2,171.50 instead of Rs 2,306 in Mumbai.

New Delhi: Nearly a month after prices of commercial LPG cylinders were hiked by Rs 102.50, the oil marketing companies (OMC) have slashed prices of the 19 kg cylinders by Rs 135 with effect from Wednesday, June 1.
The commercial cooking gas cylinders will now cost Rs 2,219 instead of Rs 2,354 in Delhi and Rs 2,171.50 instead of Rs 2,306 in Mumbai. In Kolkata it will cost Rs 2,322 instead of Rs 2,454 and in Chennai, it will cost Rs 2,373 instead of Rs 2,507.
There was no subsidy paid on cooking gas cylinders since June 2020 and all users, including beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, bought the cylinders at the market rate of Rs 1,003 in Delhi.
Prices of LPG cylinders were hiked by Rs 50 in May. Prior to that, prices were hiked on March 22 by Rs 50.
