Earlier, in a statement made via social media, the band clarified that while it’s a record for them, they have still not surpassed the world record for the highest number of people at a single concert. The statement mentioned Italian singer Vasco Rossi, who holds the world record for having 2.25 lakh attendees at his concert in Modena Park, Italy, in 2017. It also referenced legendary British rock and pop singer Sir Roderick David Stewart, who saw a crowd of 3.5 million during his concert in Rio de Janeiro in 1994.

Fronted by singer Chris Martin, Coldplay held three spectacular shows in Mumbai as part of their ongoing tour. Held at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the concerts spanned three days: January 18, 19, and 21.
Coldplay’s Previous Attendance Record
Before its Ahmedabad gig, Coldplay’s biggest concert was in Sydney, Australia, where the band recorded an attendance of 83,000 people in November last year, as part of their ongoing world tour.
With the Music of the Spheres World Tour still ongoing, Coldplay continues to break records and set new milestones in the global music industry.
