Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with a delegation of Members of Parliament from Kerala and Odisha at the Mantralaya, Mahanadi Bhawan on Tuesday.
The delegation included Lok Sabha MPs Benny Behanan from Chalakudy, K Francis George from Kottayam, N K Premachandran from Kollam, Saptagiri Ulaka from Koraput, and Kerala Legislative Assembly member Roshi M John.
During the courtesy meeting, the delegation shared details with the Chief Minister regarding a recent and widely discussed religious conversion incident in the state.
Chief Minister Sai assured the delegation that Chhattisgarh is a peaceful state that believes in harmony and where people of all religions live together amicably. He emphasized that the matter is being investigated through due judicial process, and the law is functioning independently and impartially.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to public safety, he said, “Our priority is to ensure that the daughters and citizens of the state live safely and with dignity.”
