In a heartfelt interaction at his official residence, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed a group of 96 young men and women from the remote and Naxal-affected villages of Niyad and Nella Naar in Bijapur district. The visit marks a significant moment in the state’s initiative to integrate youth from insurgency-hit regions into the mainstream and build a peaceful, progressive Bastar.
The Chief Minister warmly received the delegation and expressed his joy in seeing the youth visit Raipur for the first time, calling their presence “memorable and inspiring.” He emphasized that through willpower, sensitivity, and inclusive policies, the government is scripting a new chapter of change in Bastar. He declared, “The self-belief of Bastar’s youth is our inspiration. Together, we will build a new Bastar.”
CM Sai highlighted the state government’s ‘Niyad Nella Naar’ scheme as a transformative initiative that is paving the way for peace and development in Naxal-hit areas. He said the scheme is not only changing the face of villages but also empowering local youth with self-reliance and dignity. He reaffirmed that the government is committed to establishing peace in the region, and cited Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s target to eliminate Naxalism by March 2026.
Development Will Not Be Derailed by Maoist Disruption
“Maoists do not want development in these areas, but we will remove all obstacles on the path to progress,” the Chief Minister asserted. He credited Bastar’s collective spirit for giving the state the energy to uproot extremist violence.

He reiterated that preserving the region’s art, culture, and heritage will remain a collective mission.
“Bastar is a symbol of courage, patience, and pride,” he said, “and now it will also be a model of development and prosperity.” The government, he added, is committed to providing new opportunities through governance schemes, skill training, education, and sports.
