In a gruesome crime that has sent shockwaves through Bengaluru, 26-year-old Mahalaxmi, a single working woman, was brutally murdered and her body cut into 59 pieces by her colleague Mukthirajan Roy. The suspect, who later committed suicide, left behind a chilling confession in his diary, explaining his reasons for the horrific act.
The Bengaluru Police discovered the suicide note while investigating Roy’s background after he fled following the crime. In the note, Roy admitted to killing Mahalaxmi on September 3, claiming that he was “fed up with her conduct.” He described an altercation that escalated, leading him to commit the murder in a fit of rage.
“I have killed my lover Mahalaxmi on Sept 3,” Roy wrote, adding that he had chopped her body into pieces and stored them in a fridge. He expressed frustration with Mahalaxmi’s behavior, which he claimed was the driving force behind the murder.
Roy’s body was found hanging from a tree in a village in Bhadrak district, Odisha, on Wednesday, bringing the manhunt to an end. He had disappeared shortly after the crime, with police teams from Karnataka dispatched to Odisha in search of him.
