Aanvi Kamdar, a 26-year-old Instagram travel influencer from Mumbai, tragically passed away after falling into a gorge at Kumbhe waterfall near Maharashtra’s Raigad while shooting a reel, authorities confirmed.
Aanvi, a chartered accountant by profession, had worked at the IT/Technology consulting company Deloitte. Known for her passion for travel, she had amassed over 256,000 followers on Instagram, where she shared her unique travel experiences and tips.

On the day of the incident, Aanvi Kamdar was on a trip with seven friends to the picturesque Kumbhe waterfall. While filming a video, she accidentally slipped into a deep crevice. Despite a six-hour-long rescue operation that successfully retrieved her from the gorge, Aanvi succumbed to severe injuries at the hospital.

Her Instagram account, which showcased her love for monsoon tourism, described her as a “travel detective” dedicated to discovering luxury finds, cafes, itineraries, tips, and vibes.
