New Delhi: An under trial prisoner, Suraj Kumar, lodged in Bihar’s Nawada Jail, has succeeded in the IIT JAM 2022 exam, the country’s most prestigious examination. Suraj, a 22-year-old undertrial prisoner in Nawada jail, has been lodged in a murder case for the last 10-11 months. He is a resident of Mosma village of Warisaliganj police station area of the district.
He, performing brilliantly in the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) examination, has been selected for IIT Roorkee to pursue MSc in Mathematics. His parents informed that Suraj is a bright student and has been trying to get higher education.
As per the report, last year, 45-year-old man was thrashed over an issue leading to his death. Suraj is under trial accused in the case.
