Vijay Kumar, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, informed that one of the killed terrorists was a Pakistani terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Kashmir: Two terrorists including a Pakistani terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were gunned down by security forces in an encounter that broke out in Kulgam on Sunday. The encounter was started early morning when the security forced got tip off about presence of ultras.
A search operation was launched by the forces after cordoning Cheyan Devsar area of the south Kashmir district. As the joint team of forces cordoned the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists opened fire, triggering a gunfight. Later bth the terrorists were killed by the forces.

The Kashmir Zone Police, in another tweet, said, “#KulgamEncounterUpdate: Both the trapped #terrorists killed. #Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition recovered. Search going on. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice.”
IT further tweeted, “Pakistani terrorist Haider was involved in 2 recent terror crimes in Bandipora. In incident on 10-11-21, SgCT Mohd Sultan & CT Fayaz attained martyrdom. In second incident on 11-2-22, SPO Zubair Ahmad attained martyrdom & 03 policemen including 01 ASI of BSF injured: IGP Kashmir.”
Kashmir Zone Police, in a last tweet, informed, “#KulgamEncounterUpdate: Second killed local #terrorist Shahbaz Shah of #Kulgam was involved in killing of a #civilian belonging to minority community namely Satish Kumar Singh on 13/04/22 in Kakran, Kulgam: IGP Kashmir @JmuKmrPolice.”
