The Delhi CM talks quite big about respecting and empowering women and had promised before Punjab polls that these aanganwadis workers would be regularized but as soon as the elections were over, he has now shown his real face to everyone, said Gupta.

New Delhi: Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta on Monday said that adopting the dictatorial attitude, the Arvind Kejriwal government has sent termination notice to 90 aanganwadis workers and helpers even as the state women and children welfare department has already suspended them with immediate effect only because they were protesting for their rights and demands against the state government. While protesting for last 45 days for their demands, it is really shameful that they are being pressurized to tender an apology letter, he said.
He said that while the Delhi CM talks quite big about respecting and empowering women and had promised before Punjab polls that these aanganwadis workers would be regularized but as soon as the elections were over, he has now shown his real face to everyone. He said the state government first imposed ESMA against them and is now torturing them in whatever way it could.
He said the way these aanganwadis workers did selfless service during corona pandemic without caring for their own health is commendable and not hidden from anyone. And now suppressing their voice shows this is the Kejriwal model and inhuman, he quipped in a sarcastic vein.
The Delhi BJP president said there are over 22000 aanganwadis women working in Delhi but they are not entitled to even daily dearness allowance. He said the amount these aanganwadis women are getting is just not sufficient to run their families. He demanded these women should be at least getting Rs 25000 so that they could get some relief and manage to run their household.
