Many of the ministers, MLAs and municipal councillors involved in corruption continue to remain as members of the Aam Aadmi Party due to Arvind Kejriwal’s protection: DPCC.

New Delhi: Delhi Pradesh Congress on Monday said said that Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who announced that the Punjab government will launch a helpline to report corruption and other governmental misdoings on March 23, on “Shaheedi Diwas” day, has done nothing to tackle corruption in the state government in the last seven years.
It said that many of the ministers, MLAs and municipal councillors involved in corruption continue to remain as members of the Aam Aadmi Party due to Arvind Kejriwal’s protection.
Delhi Congress president Anil Kumar said that CM Arvind Kejriwal had launched a similar helpline in Delhi, which has been made ineffective, as corruption in the Delhi government has hit the roof, which was endorsed by the Chief Secretary, saying that a big campaign needed to be launched to check corruption. He said that AAP councillor from Patparganj Geeta Rawat, who operates from Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s office, was recently arrested by the CBI for taking Rs 20,000 bribe.
He said that CM Arvind Kejriwal created a false narrative in Punjab to mislead the people there, as they were not aware of the vitiated ground reality in Delhi, but the Delhi Congress will expose him, as well as his ministers’ and MLAs’ corruption threadbare, and will approach the newly appointed Lokayukta to get the corrupt punished.
