Earlier on June 18, Pune Police had arrested Santosh Jadhav, a sharp shooter and had recovered several pistols and mobile phones from his possession.
New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, Delhi Police on Monday arrested two sharpshooters in connection of the murder of 28-year-old Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala and have recovered arms and ammunitions from their possession. Both the shooters were identified as Priyavrat Fauji (26) and Kashish (24).
According to the report, both the shooters were arrested from Gujarat’s Mundra. Police has recovered eight grenades, nine detonators, three pistols and an assault rifle from their custody.
As per the report, Fauji, a Haryana-based gangster, is a member of Ramkaran gang. He reportedly was key shooters involved in the murder of the Punjabi single Moose Wala and was in direct touch with Goldy Braa, a Canada-based sharp shooter. The other accused, Kashish, had also opened fire at Moose wala. He is accused in other cases of crime including a murder also. Earlier, they both were seen at a petrol pump in Fatehgarh.

On June 8, the Pune Rural Police had claimed to arrest one of the eight sharpshooters of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang named by the Punjab Police in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.

The arrested sharpshooter, identified as Siddhesh Hiraman Kamble alias Saurav alias Mahakal, was picked up for his alleged role in another murder case where a 24-year-old hardened criminal was shot dead in broad daylight in August last year.
Mahakal’s arrest had come a day after the Punjab Police had said that they have arrested at least eight persons for playing some role in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala. The police had also said that one among the eight arrested impersonated as Moosewala’s fan and had clicked a selfie with the singer outside his home moments before Sidhu Moosewala was killed.

Sidhu Moosewala’s parents requested people to plant saplings in the memory of the slain Punjabi singer. This came after it was noticed that at the memorial raised at the spot where Sidhu Moosewala was cremated was being thronged by his fans and the singer being revered as a god. Many of Sidhu Moosewala’s fans are offering money and praying at the memorial, following which, his family erected a board at the memorial asking people to plant saplings in the memory of Sidhu Moosewala.
The singer’s family also attended his bhog ceremony held at Mansa town, 10 km from Moose village, where several NGOs distributed plants to the people who attended the event. Fans from all parts of Punjab reached Mansa to pay their last respect.
