Salman Khan, the famous Bollywood star, is boosting his security at his well-known Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. This decision follows a shooting that happened eight months ago in April 2024, when unknown attackers fired shots at his home.
The changes he’s making involve installing bulletproof windows, strengthening the entrances, and putting in place a high-tech security system. Even his balcony, from where he frequently waves to fans, is now equipped with bulletproof glass to keep him safer.
Lawrence Bishnoi Threat
On April 14, two men on motorcycles fired several shots at Salman Khan’s home before speeding away. This attack raised worries about Khan’s safety, especially because of threats made by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Currently in jail, Bishnoi has been in conflict with Khan for years, starting from the 1998 Blackbuck poaching incident. The Bishnoi community holds Blackbucks in high regard, and the gangster has often threatened the actor in public.
Mumbai Police Set Up Command Center
To improve safety at home, Khan has made some important updates. He got himself a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV, which was brought in from Dubai, and he has also added more armed bodyguards to his team. The Mumbai Police have established a special command center at Galaxy Apartments to keep an eye on any possible dangers.

At Mumbai’s Film City, where Khan runs the well-known reality show “Bigg Boss 18,” similar steps are being taken. The sets now have better surveillance and access is limited to only those who are authorized.
