An intruder broke into actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence in Bandra on Thursday, demanding Rs 1 crore and injuring the actor in a violent scuffle. The Mumbai Police have released the first photo of the suspect, who is seen wearing a t-shirt, jeans, carrying a backpack, and an orange scarf. The incident, which has sparked widespread concern, occurred late at night in Saif’s luxury apartment on the 12th floor of a high-rise building.
The incident began when one of Saif Ali Khan’s house helps noticed a shadow near the bathroom. Initially mistaking it for Kareena Kapoor checking on their younger son, she grew suspicious and moved closer to investigate. Suddenly, a man aged between 35 and 40 attacked her, threatening her with a sharp weapon and demanding Rs 1 crore. A second housemaid arrived during the altercation. Hearing the commotion, Saif Ali Khan rushed to the scene, leading to a violent confrontation.
During the struggle, Saif was stabbed six times, sustaining injuries to his hand, neck, and spine. Notably, a sharp weapon broke and remained lodged in his body. Saif was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is now reported to be in stable condition.

Mumbai Police shared CCTV footage capturing the suspect at 2:33 am on Thursday in the stairwell of the building. The man was dressed casually, wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and carrying a backpack with an orange scarf. This release is part of the ongoing effort to locate and apprehend the attacker.

Due to the absence of a driver at the time, Saif’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan and daughter Sara Ali Khan, who reside on the 8th floor of the same building, rushed upstairs to assist. As they were unfamiliar with operating the family’s automatic electric vehicle, they opted to transport Saif to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw.
