Radhika Yadav Murder Case: Amid rising media attention surrounding the tragic murder of former tennis player Radhika Yadav, actor Inam-ul-Haq has publicly clarified his association with her. The actor, who featured alongside Radhika in a now-viral music video, stated he had no personal connection with her beyond the professional shoot.
Speaking from Dubai, Inam-ul-Haq told ANI, “I met her (Radhika) for the first time in the Tennis Premier League, which was held in Dubai. After that, I met her in a music video. She was an actor to me. I have worked with many actresses. She just came for the shooting of the music video, and then she left.”
Inam added that the video was an unpaid project and that Radhika was given a “good luck amount.” He also emphasized that there was no contact between them after the shoot. “Radhika has no social media. There is just a video clip on YouTube, that’s why it is being highlighted repeatedly,” he said.
The actor further expressed dismay over the communal spin being given to the incident. “I don’t know why it is being done. I don’t have to do anything with this case,” he stated.
Murder of Radhika Yadav: Father Cites Social Pressure, Ego as Motives
Radhika Yadav, 25, was allegedly shot dead by her father, Deepak Yadav, at their residence in Gurugram’s Sushant Lok. According to police, she was in the kitchen preparing food for her mother, Manju Yadav, when she was shot four times in the back.

Deepak Yadav confessed to the crime during police interrogation. “When I used to go to Wazirabad village to get milk, people used to taunt me, saying that I live off my daughter’s earnings. Some people even questioned my daughter’s character,” he told police.
He admitted that repeated taunts and his daughter’s refusal to shut down her tennis academy led him to shoot her with his licensed revolver. “Because of this tension… I have killed my daughter,” Deepak stated.
He was presented before a local court on Friday and was granted a one-day police remand for further interrogation. Gurugram police said that while villagers’ taunts and his demand to shut the academy appear to be the primary motives, further questioning is underway to verify other aspects of his confession.
Family Pressure Over Inter-Caste Marriage Allegations
A neighbour from Wazirabad revealed that Radhika had expressed a desire to marry outside her caste, which her father reportedly opposed. “He was old school and conservative,” the neighbour shared.
While Gurugram police have not confirmed this as a motive, they acknowledged investigating the possibility. “No other motive other than Deepak’s decision asking his daughter to shut down the academy after taunts by villagers has surfaced,” said Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police. He also added that the role of Radhika’s mother is being examined, though her awareness of the murder plan remains unconfirmed.
