Radhika Yadav Murder: In a shocking new development in the murder case of young tennis player Radhika Yadav, her close friend and fellow athlete Himaanshika Singh Rajput has alleged that the killing was not an act of impulse but a premeditated crime planned over several days. In a video posted on Instagram on Sunday, July 13, 2025, Himaanshika claimed that Radhika’s life had turned into “misery” in the ten days leading up to her death.
Himaanshika, who had known Radhika for more than a decade, said in the video, “Her life had become miserable over ten days before the murder. She had completely given up and was ready to live the way they wanted her to live. But her father had lost his mind.”

According to her, Radhika’s father Deepak was allegedly provoked by jealous friends who mocked him for his daughter’s success and lifestyle. “They taunted him for living off his daughter and said that he might as well get her into prostitution,” she claimed, adding that these comments pushed him over the edge.
“He Waited for the Right Moment,” Says Friend
In the second part of her Instagram video series, Himaanshika detailed the chilling events she believes occurred on July 10, the day Radhika was fatally shot. “He had brought a new revolver. Her mother was kept in another room, her brother was also sent outside on some pretext. Her dog Luna, a pitbull who could have saved her, was also kept outside,” she said.

“He waited for the right moment and shot her from behind. Who shoots his daughter five times? What crime had she committed?” she asked emotionally.
Himaanshika also described Radhika’s home environment as deeply restrictive and emotionally stifling. “She felt suffocated at home. Her parents were orthodox and influenced by the opinion of others. She was an innocent person, a kind soul,” she had said in her first video uploaded a day earlier on July 12.
Radhika’s friend also lamented how her creative freedom was gradually crushed by familial disapproval. “She loved getting her pictures clicked and shooting videos, but gradually it all stopped because her parents did not approve.”
Her words come after Radhika’s uncle claimed in a media interview that Deepak Yadav had confessed to the crime
