Pahalgam Terror Attack Updates | PM Modi’s Strong Message In ‘Mann Ki Baat’: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, calling it a desperate move by the enemies of Kashmir and India to derail the region’s growing progress. Speaking during the 121st episode of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the Prime Minister underlined that terrorism would not break India’s resolve, and vowed that the perpetrators would face unimaginable punishment.
During his address, Prime Minister Modi pointed out that Kashmir had seen an unprecedented resurgence in recent years, with record-breaking tourism, flourishing educational institutions, and rising employment opportunities for youth. He emphasized that those who patronize terrorism are frustrated by this newfound peace and prosperity in the region.
“At a time when peace was returning to Kashmir, vibrancy was returning to schools and colleges, democracy was being strengthened, tourism was booming, and new opportunities were emerging for the youth — the enemies of Jammu and Kashmir and the country could not tolerate this,” Modi said. “Terrorists want to destroy Kashmir once again, but they will not succeed.”
Global Solidarity with India Against Terrorism
The Prime Minister also highlighted the overwhelming international support India has received following the Pahalgam attack. He noted that several world leaders had personally reached out to condemn the incident and express solidarity with India.
“Global leaders have called me, written letters, and sent messages. Everyone has strongly condemned this heinous terrorist attack. The entire world stands with the 1.4 billion Indians in our fight against terrorism,” Modi said.

This wave of international support, Modi asserted, shows that terrorism today is recognized globally as a menace that threatens humanity itself, not just one nation.
‘Masterminds Will Face Stern Punishment’: Modi’s Strong Message
In a powerful message delivered from Bihar, where he was attending a rally, PM Modi pledged that those responsible for the Pahalgam massacre would be tracked down and punished with severity beyond their imagination.
“Today, on the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world — India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth. India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism,” he declared.
The Prime Minister reassured the families of the victims that justice would be delivered and that India’s fight against terror would only intensify. “Terrorists and their conspirators will receive a punishment so stern that they could not even imagine it,” he added.

The 26 victims of the attack included 25 tourists and a local pony operator, while two security personnel also lost their lives. The incident has reignited discussions on strengthening counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir and along India’s borders.
As India mourns the victims, security forces continue intensive operations to hunt down those involved, including Adil Ahmed Thoker and Pakistani nationals linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
