In a fiery address at a public rally in Bikaner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a stinging attack on Pakistan, accusing it of cowardly using terrorism against India while praising the Indian armed forces for their prompt and decisive response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
PM Modi’s remarks came just weeks after Operation Sindoor, India’s retaliatory strike that targeted and dismantled terrorist camps across the border in response to the Pahalgam attack, where civilians were targeted based on their religion.

“In My Veins Flows Hot Sindoor”: PM Modi Evokes Passionate Imagery
Addressing a massive crowd, the Prime Minister delivered an impassioned speech, declaring that although his mind remains calm, his blood runs hot with patriotic fire.
“Pakistan forgot one thing — now the servant of Mother India, Modi, is standing here. Modi’s mind is calm, but his blood is hot. In Modi’s veins, not blood, but hot sindoor flows,” he said, drawing a thunderous response from the crowd.
PM Modi accused Pakistan of using terrorism as a proxy weapon because it cannot win a direct war with India, a tactic he said has been employed since India’s independence.
“Those Who Shed India’s Blood Paid for Every Drop”
Referring to the Pahalgam tragedy, Modi said, “The terrorists asked victims their religion and wiped the sindoor off women’s foreheads. The bullets that day pierced the hearts of 140 crore Indians.”

He then hailed India’s military for its swift retaliation: “Those who tried to wipe off sindoor have been buried in the soil. Those who took pride in their weapons now lie beneath the rubble of their terror camps.”
He revealed that within just 22 minutes of the terror attack, Indian forces demolished terrorist camps, forcing Pakistan to bow under pressure. Modi credited the “Chakravyuh” formation by the tri-services for the precision and speed of the retaliation.
“Free Hand to Armed Forces”: Modi Underscores National Security Credentials
PM Modi reiterated his government’s unwavering support for the defence forces, saying, “Under our leadership, our forces have full freedom to act. The result is a strong and fearless India.”
The Prime Minister’s strong national security stance comes amid growing calls to address cross-border terrorism with tough action, especially in election season.
Congress Leader Jairam Ramesh Fires Back
The speech drew immediate criticism from Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who accused PM Modi of delivering “filmi dialogues” instead of answering critical questions related to national security and foreign policy.
“Instead of grandstanding in Bikaner, the Prime Minister should explain why there was no all-party meeting post-Pahalgam attack, and clarify the U.S. claim about mediating a ceasefire during Operation Sindoor,” Ramesh said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Following his address, PM Modi visited the Nal Air Force Station in Bikaner, which had also come under Pakistani fire during the recent skirmishes. There, he interacted with military personnel to boost morale and review strategic preparedness.
In addition to national security, the Prime Minister used the Bikaner visit to bolster development credentials. He inaugurated the redeveloped Deshnoke Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, and laid the foundation for several key railway and public infrastructure projects.
These include:
- Churu–Sadulpur rail line (58 km) foundation stone
- Electrification of five major rail sections: Suratgarh–Phalodi (336 km), Phulera–Degana (109 km), Udaipur–Himmatnagar (210 km), Phalodi–Jaisalmer (157 km), and Samdari–Barmer (129 km)
