In a shocking incident, Surendra Kumar Saxena, the 55-year-old principal of Dhamora Government Higher Secondary School in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district, was shot dead by a Class 12 student on school premises.
The student allegedly followed Saxena into the school bathroom and shot him in the head. The gunshot triggered panic among staff and students. Upon investigation, staff members discovered the principal lying in a pool of blood.
According to Superintendent of Police Agam Jain, the accused student fled the scene on Saxena’s two-wheeler, accompanied by another student. Both students, reportedly from Dhilapur village, have a history of disciplinary issues and were captured on CCTV escaping from the school.
Family’s Allegations
Saxena’s family suspects the killing was premeditated. His brother, Rajendra Saxena, claimed that the principal had been under pressure and harassment from certain individuals at the school to engage in wrongful activities.
