In response to mounting concerns about the humanitarian situation in Gaza amid Israel-Hamas war, US and Israeli officials are expected to convene in Washington early next week for discussions. This comes amidst reports indicating a looming famine crisis in Gaza.
According to Palestinian health authorities, the death toll from Israel’s retaliatory attacks has surpassed 32,000, with fears of additional casualties trapped under collapsed structures. In a separate development, Hamas media reported that an Israeli airstrike on a key roundabout resulted in the deaths of 30 individuals, including those assisting aid delivery efforts in Gaza City.
Meanwhile, the United States criticized Israel’s restrictions on humanitarian aid entry into Gaza, suggesting that such actions could constitute a war crime under international law.
