There's also a 'Shake to reveal' option if you'd prefer not to shake the phone. The primary purpose of the new function is to share nostalgic posts.

Instagram recently updated its “Stories” feature, giving users more options for interacting with their friends and followers on the social media network.

The ‘Reveal’ feature, which lets users post a hidden story that your followers can only find out by sending you a direct message, is one of the new innovative ways for users to interact with each other.

Click the stickers icon and then tap the “Reveal” icon to access the new feature while creating a story.
The app will ask you to type a suggestion for your friends about what they might discover behind your blurred story after you click on it.

The ‘Preview’ icon, located in the bottom left corner, allows users to preview how their story will appear to their followers. After the Story is posted, the content can only be viewed by your followers through direct messages. However, Instagram mentioned that “you won’t need to approve every DM for your story to be revealed.”

The feature is anticipated to help creators, who now have the opportunity to interact more with their followers through Stories, even though this can be an unusual way to strike up a conversation. However, they shouldn’t be concerned about receiving thousands of direct messages.

Instagram users can also share a song that suits their mood with their followers by using the “Add Your Music” sticker for Stories. They can also include their music in it.

Here’s a quick guide on how to use the new Instagram feature:

Step 1: Tap and click the ‘Add Yours Music’ icon after selecting the stickers symbol.

Step 2: Click ‘+ / Add Music’ to choose a song from the app’s music collection after clicking on it.

Step 3: Your followers can use the ‘Add Yours’ button to add their song after the story has been uploaded.

Furthermore, the ‘Frames’ feature on Instagram allows users to convert a photo into a virtual Polaroid. Your followers can shake their smartphones to see the picture.

There’s also a ‘Shake to reveal’ option if you’d prefer not to shake the phone. The primary purpose of the new function is to share nostalgic posts.

Subsequently, the site has introduced a tool called ‘Cutouts,’ which allows users to selectively transform a portion of any video or photo stored in their camera roll into a personalized sticker that they can incorporate into a Story or a Reel.

This is similar to the picture cutout tool that Apple has developed, which enables users to ‘pick up’ objects from images or videos.
