New Delhi: On the eve of World Nature Conservation Day, the Homoeopathic Dispensary and Urban Public Health Centre jointly organised a plantation drive in the premises of MCD’s primary health care centre at Mehrauli to mark the 75th year of Independence and celebrate a successful ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
Similar programmes were celebrated on July 22 and 23 in the same premises. All the health staff participated to save nature.
Dr Dillip Senapati, who is the in-charge of the Homoeopathic Dispensary, said we are not taking care of our planet and this is the time to wake up. “MCD is always working on micro-level to maintain cleanliness in the city but community participation is required. Individually, people should understand the consequences of destroying the soil, water in their day-to-day life,” Senapati said.
“Because nature is our real source of life to get happiness. Without the soil and water, our survival is not possible and plantation is essentially required to save soil and water,” he added.
