Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday attended the closing ceremony of the 20th Jharkhand State Police Duty Meet 2025 held at JAP-1 Ground, Doranda, Ranchi. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the police department is the backbone of any state.
He noted that the responsibilities of the police are becoming increasingly challenging with the state’s rapid development. In the current era of technology, it is crucial to enhance the efficiency and capability of police personnel, he added.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren emphasized that as development expands, so do the challenges faced by law enforcement. “It is extremely important to equip our police personnel with advanced skills in this technological age. Our government is making every possible effort to strengthen and modernize the police department,” he said.

CM Congratulates Winners and Participants
The Chief Minister congratulated all the participants and teams who secured first, second and third positions in various competitions held during the duty meet. He also extended best wishes to all participants who displayed honesty and dedication throughout the event. Additionally, three outstanding investigators were felicitated for their exemplary work.
“I am confident that the knowledge and skills gained through this competition will be applied in their respective fields. I also have full faith that the selected participants will represent Jharkhand with excellence at the All India Police Duty Meet 2025 and make the state proud,” Soren added.
The closing ceremony was also attended by Director General of Police Anurag Gupta, Additional Director General of Police (ACB) Priya Dubey, Inspector General (CID) Manoj Kaushik, along with senior and junior police officials and other dignitaries.
