New Delhi: Arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal on Friday initiated a campaign — ‘Kejriwal ko Aashirwad’ — and shared two WhatsApp numbers for his supporters to send their messages.
She appealed to the public to send their blessings, prayers or any other message irrespective of their gender, age, financial status and party affiliation. She said the messages will be shared with Arvind Kejriwal in the Enforcement Directorate’s custody.
She also said that Kejriwal on Thursday presented his side in the court, “the entire country heard it”. “If anyone has not, then please do listen to it once. Whatever he said in front of the court requires a lot of courage. He is a true patriot. This is exactly how freedom fighters fought the British tyranny,” she said.
She said she has been with him for the last 30 years and added that patriotism is in his “every pore”. “Arvind Kejriwal has challenged the most powerful, corrupt, and dictatorial forces of the country,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said people call Arvind Kejriwal their brother, their son and asked them to support him in his fight.
Sharing two WhatsApp numbers, 8297324624 and 9700297002, the CM’s wife appealed to the people to send their blessings, good wishes and prayers to Arvind Kejriwal under the ‘Kejriwal ko Ashirwad’ campaign.
Sunita Kejriwal said, “Many mothers have made a wish for their sons, many sisters have also made a wish for their brothers, please send that in writing. I also received calls from many people that they are fasting for Arvind Kejriwal. How much people love Arvind ji. Write all that and send it. If you have anything else to say, anything that comes to your mind, write it and send it on the WhatsApp numbers.”
She urged that each member from each family should write their message and send them. “He (Arvind Kejriwal) will be very happy to read your messages. I will give each of your messages to him in jail. And to send him a message, you do not need to belong to the Aam Aadmi Party; you may be from any party. All youth, women, elderly, children, rich, poor, everyone must write something to their brother, their son Arvind ji and also publicize these WhatsApp numbers widely,” she said.
