Delhi Building Collapse Updates | In a tragic incident early Friday morning, a four-storey building collapsed in Janata Mazdoor Colony of Seelampur in northeast Delhi’s Welcome area, leading to the death of two individuals. The structure came crashing down around 7 am, trapping several residents under the debris.
According to an official police statement, at least ten people have been rescued so far. Seven of them were rushed to JPC Hospital, one to GTB Hospital, while others are still feared trapped under the rubble. Local residents also assisted emergency teams in clearing the debris.
Rescue Operations Underway, Cause Yet to Be Determined
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Delhi Fire Service, senior police officers, and other emergency personnel are at the scene, conducting rescue operations. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the collapse.
“Information was received about the collapse of a four-storey building near Idgah. Upon reaching A-Block, Gali No. 5 in Janata Colony, the three storeys of the structure had caved in,” Delhi Police said in an official statement.

Approximately 12 people, including three children and three women, were residing in the building at the time of the collapse.
The condition of the injured is currently being monitored, and officials have said that updates will follow once the rescue operation is complete.
