New Delhi: A Chinese delegation has reportedly not allowed to view Queen Elizabeth’s coffin in UK’s Parliament House. The delegation of China has reached London to join Elizabeth’s funeral on Monday.
As per the reports, a few British parliamentarians have raised their concern over inviting Chinese delegation to attend Queen’s last rites as the Dragon has sanctioned some British lawmakers for criticizing human rights abuses in Xinjiang. Though the Asian country has been denying any such human rights violation but many lawmakers have raised their voice against the practice.
According to the reports, the delegation had been banned from attending the lying-in-state after the speaker of the lower house of parliament had refused access to Westminster Hall on the parliamentary estate due to the Chinese sanctions. There is no any official statement in this regard as the speaker’s office has refused to comment on it. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said in briefing in that she had not yet seen the report.

Britain’s longest-reigning monarch Queen Elizabeth II had passed away on Spetember 8. She is survived by son Prince Charles, grandsons William and Harry besides other family members. When the Queen breathed her last, her family was present at Balmoral retreat, a place in the Scottish highlands.
In June this year, the monarch family had celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee to mark 70 years of service to the nation. The Queen’s eldest son, Charles, 73, has reportedly succeeded as the king. Queen Elizabeth was 96 years old.
